The whole painting was full with shapes and collage until the dark shape on the top left reminded of the story of Don Quixote and his horse Rocinante, an old mare that he thought was a strong horse in his delusional mind. Once I see the direction a painting wants to go, I take out what is superfluous just enough to suggest the story and enough for you to put your own story in there.
