This painting was a nice challenge for me. My painting was just too colorful and busy without a point for the eye to rest and I wanted to calm it down without losing the vibrancy of it, when I had the idea of making a gigantic stencil to cover up the shapes that I wanted to keep and still give it a punch. 

Here it is and I am glad that even with hard edges there is movement in it. It reminds me of corals underwater that are moving.
